Experimental Cardiovascular Imaging (ExCaVI)

As part of Ulm University and Ulm University Medical Center, our group, Experimental Cardiovascular Imaging (ExCaVI), headed by Prof. Volker Rasche is active in the field of research and development of dedicated techniques for in vivo magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and spectroscopy and their application to biomedical translational research including preclinical and clinical evaluation. Additional research focus lies in the field of image-guided interventions.

We bring in the TransNav project our expertise in the application-specific optimization of the basic techniques for cardiac MR imaging, as well as multi-modal image fusion and reconstruction algorithms.
